She serves in indigenous spaces where many are uniting through shared prophecies signaling these times as a critical juncture of our human existence needing this wisdom for our balance and survival. \nThus\, her work focuses on the principles of the Andean cosmovision\, coupled with ritual and ceremony to transform wounds into instruments of power. She is dedicated to helping others break free from the stories that hold them hostage to live in their most authentic spiritual identity. \nAncestral wisdom speaks the language of who we already are and endures today because of this. \nwww.kaypacha.net \nwww.instagram.com/mitzyclementina \nwww.facebook.com/mitzyclementina \n__________________________________________________ \nChoosing Your Price\nWhen you register for a workshop\, you can choose from one of three price options. \n\nTop range: The highest option for the workshop reflects the true cost of the service—that is\, the price that a studio without a sliding scale would charge to cover expenses and pay teachers appropriately. Please note: This price is not paying “extra”; it’s the fair market value for the class or service. \n\nWe recommend paying this price if: you are financially secure\, have personal savings\, or own property. You would pay for a similar experience at this price point elsewhere without worrying about how it would impact your ability to spend money on other things. \n\n\nMiddle range: The middle option for a workshop is a discounted price that does not fully cover the costs of running the class or service. \n\nWe recommend paying this price if: you have access to steady income and your basic needs are met\, but are working to pay off debt or build savings. While paying for this class might mean you have to cut back on things like going out to dinner or buying new clothes\, it won’t harm you in the long term. \n\n\nLower range: The lowest price for a workshop is a further discounted price that does not cover the costs of running the class or service. \n\nWe recommend paying this price if: you have access to basic needs\, but your financial situation feels tenuous. You would have to save up for many months to be able to afford a higher price point. \nPlease note: We are committed to welcoming all members of our community to our studio. If the lowest price is still out of reach for you\, please email gabrielle@pawlingyogawellness.org. \n\n\n\nPay It Forward\nIf you have the means\, we always welcome donations to help others access our classes and services. \nDonate Here. \nNote: Our pricing model is inspired by Green Bottle Model from Worts + Cunning and Doctor Blossom.

SUMMARY:Grief Groundwork: An Introductory Workshop to Help Us Understand the Terrain of Grief in Our Lives
DESCRIPTION:Grief is not a problem to be solved: it is a landscape to be known. In this introductory workshop\, we will orient ourselves to grief: what it is\, where it lives in our lives\, and why so many of us have never been given the tools or the permission to truly move through it. Drawing on the work of Francis Weller\, we will \n\nexplore the many gates through which grief enters\, often in forms we don’t immediately recognize\nlook honestly at the forces in our culture that make grieving harder than it needs to be\nname the ways we can turn toward one another\, learning both how to support a griever and how to ask for support when the grief is ours to carry.\n\nThere will be time for questions\, sharing and reflection. \nWho is this for? \nThis workshop is for anyone who wants to understand grief more deeply—their own as well as the grief of those they love. You may be: \n\nCarrying a loss that feels unfinished or unwitnessed\nCurious about why grief can feel so difficult in our culture\, and what might be done differently\nNew to this kind of work and looking for a gentle entry point\n\nNo prior experience with grief work is necessary. \nWhat is the format? \nThe format of this class is informational. We will not be engaging directly in any grief practices\, but we will discuss grief resources. The class will include: \n\nA presentation on Francis Weller’s gates of grief\nAn exploration of the cultural obstacles that shape how we grieve and how we don’t\nA conversation about grief etiquette: how to support those who grieve\, and how to ask for support ourselves\nClosing Q&A\n\nWhat to bring? \n\nA journal or notebook\nPens or markers\n\nWhy? \nGrief is a natural and necessary response to loss\, and yet most of us have never been taught how to be with it. Our culture moves quickly past sorrow\, leaving many people to grieve alone\, in silence\, or not at all. This workshop exists because understanding the terrain of grief is the first step toward relating to it differently. When we can name what grief is\, recognize where it lives\, and begin to dismantle the obstacles that keep us from it\, we open a door — to ourselves\, and to one another. \nABOUT SHEILA \nSheila brings a synthesis of experiences to community space holding: a 25-year meditation practice\, 20 years of Non-Violent Communication (NVC) study and practice\, NVC complex facilitation\, NVC multi-year mediation intensive study\, a decade-long apprenticeship (with a focus on ethical and respectful cultural practice) in medicine work\, and grief tending and apprenticeship in the lineage of Francis Weller\, author of The Wild Edge of Sorrow. \nFrom decades of depth work in group contexts\, she has witnessed and experienced the power of healing in safe\, well-designed community containers where people feel free to drop into their hearts. Sheila has the capacity to meet people in their depths\, welcoming heartfelt and authentic participation. \n“The deeper that sorrow carves into your being\, the more joy you can contain.”\n-Khalil Gibran

SUMMARY:Write Your Heart Out
DESCRIPTION:Poetry as a practice for connecting with your emotional body\, moving energy and remembering  \nJoin Danielle Riccardi and Jay Erickson\, two local semi-pro published writers for a workshop designed to unleash your inner poet and explore memory. On this Memorial Day weekend\, we will move through a practice of gathering\, weaving and adorning memory as we move towards wholeness through the yoga of re-membering. \nWe will use an adaption of the “Journal Ladder” process to start simple and small and build to an expression that allows for writing to be a release\, healing\, insight\, or sense-making. \nWe will explore the yoga of poetry and how a poem\, like a physical form\, can constellate and contain a certain shape of energy or memory and how the music and imagery and vast permission of poetry is nothing to fear or avert but a vast playground and dancefloor for all those who have language.\nNo experience is necessary—this workshop is open to complete beginners\, curious writers\, and experienced poets alike. Come as you are and leave with new ideas\, new writing\, and a fresh way of looking at memory in poetry. \nConsider bringing comfortable clothes. And alliteration (or a dash of sibilance).

SUMMARY:Somatic Release Breathwork with Julia Zern\, Somatic Release Breathwork™ Practitioner \, ERYT 500
DESCRIPTION:Somatic Release Breathwork™ is a healing practice to release trauma\, stress and tension that has been stored in the body. Through guided breath patterns\, NLP ( Neuro Linguistic Programming ) and co-regulation of your nervous system this modality is self-healing on a deep subconscious level. In this practice we access the sympathetic nervous system to allow what’s been stuck in the body to be expressed and moved out and invite in new more useful patterns. The session is done laying down with eyes closed and is set to music. \nSomatic Release Breathwork™ often inspires insights on what’s been keeping you stuck and creates a safe space to release the past and claim your authentic Self. \nPlease bring a yoga mat\, blanket\, water bottle and journal for insights\, optional eye mask. \n______________________________________________________ \nJulia is a Somatic Release Breathwork™ practitioner as well as Vinyasa and Yin yoga teacher living and working in the Hudson Valley. \nShe has a background of practicing and studying many different styles of yoga\, learning from both local and international teachers since the year 2000 and teaching since 2011. \nJulia is a Somatic Release Breathwork practitioner certified by founder Steven Jaggers. SUMMARY:A Qigong Practice. The Microcosmic Orbit - Aligning with Summer Solstice
DESCRIPTION:An elegant Taoist practice to realign the human body with two of our most powerful celestial allies\, the Sun and Moon\, while rooting us to our Earthly home. The Microcosmic Orbit\, also known as the Small Heavenly Cycle invites opening of our “third eye” expansion of our intuitive\, pre-verbal origins for greater insight to our lives.\n\nThe practice brings the Sun’s infra-red light up the spinal column\, through our seven chakras\, it meets with Moon’s silvery blue light on the forehead and other skull points\, radiating down the front body\, to the pelvis.\n\nThe core teaching of this practice grounds us in our humanity\, while expanding our Qi field to the\nCosmos. The seven levels of healing it brings to each energetic center of the body makes it a very\ncomplete practice\, one that is a marvelous ally for caretakers\, parents\, healers and seekers in all fields.\n \nThis is a standing practice that can also be done from chair. All are welcome.\n\nNadiya Peters-Nottingham is a Master Qigong Teacher in practice for over 30 years.  A former Pawling resident she now lives in Ireland and teaches in Europe and USA. She was made a master teacher by her teacher\, Master Liu He of Portland Oregon.  www.nadiyapeters.com
